Individual therapy

I offer weekly and biweekly 60-90 minute individual therapy sessions on a sliding scale via Telehealth/Zoom to New York State residents. I am able to see residents of select states and countries depending on licensing regulations - reach out to inquire. Together we’ll create your personalized therapy guide to meet your needs and goals, on a timeline that makes sense for you, and on a budget that doesn’t burden you.

I'm a trauma-informed, humanistic, person-centered, strengths-based, music psychotherapist with extensive experience working with people of various ages, backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, genders, and ethnicities. I have worked in medical hospitals, psychiatric inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, and schools/programs for neurodiverse individuals ages 3-21.

I use traditional talk therapy, music psychotherapy, EMDR, and polyvagal theory/body work. In music psychotherapy, we can use active musical interventions (no musical experience required!) like improvisation, songwriting, and recording to work towards your goals. I think it’s important to allow space for humor, creativity, a focus on your strengths, current challenges, a collaborative process, and a clarity about what is being worked on in therapy.

Group therapy

Group therapy can be just as effective as individual therapy with the additional benefit of greater interpersonal engagement and feedback. Please look below for group descriptions and reach out if and a group interests you. I am licensed to provide group therapy to New York state residents and residents of select states and countries depending on licensing regulations of your particular location - reach out to inquire. Groups are scheduled for 8 weeks, so if a group is already at capacity you can be added to the waiting list for the next group. All groups are provided via Telehealth/Zoom.

To sign up for a group, first click “Schedule a free consultation,” select “Group Therapy,” and include which group or groups you’re interested in joining in the “Message” box. A consultation is required before joining a group for purposes of group safety. During the consultation we can discuss the group in more detail, along with your therapy goals, and determine if it’s a good fit.

  • Music Therapy Improvisation Group

    Using our innate musicality to express ourselves and connect with others. In this group you can use your voice, body percussion, or any instrument you have at home to work towards your therapy goals. No musical background required.

    Session length: 60 minutes

    Group size: 4 people

    Duration: 1 session per week for 10 weeks

  • Songwriting Group

    Songwriting has been used historically to build resilience, process trauma, foster community, and so much more. This group uses the process of songwriting to explore and deepen our understanding of important life themes, all while helping group members meet interpersonal goals. No prior songwriting experience required.

    Session length: 60 minutes

    Group size: 4-6 people

    Duration: 1 session per week for 10 weeks

  • Pandemic Processing Group

    For those who continue to observe precautions and research ways to stay safe and prevent community spread, while witnessing much of the world "go back to normal." There is nothing normal about continuing to live through a mass disabling event and this group will provide the support, validation, and grounding to help you keep going.

    Group length: 90 minutes

    Group size: 6-10 people

    Duration: 1 session per week for 10 weeks

  • Music and Movement

    Learn and practice low-medium energy movements and exercises that reduce stress and increase energy while listening fun and motivating musical playlists. All activities can be done seated so that the group remains accessible to all.

    Group length: 30 minutes

    Group size: 8-12 people

    Duration: 1 session per week for 10 weeks

    Costs: donation based (suggested donation $5-20)

    ***this group is NOT a therapy group. It is a community offering, so anyone from any state or country can sign up.
